DESIGNER PATIO FURNITURE
The beauty of the products comes from the cast alloy and teak wood combination, which the bench has similar aesthetic appeals. The design applies a knock–down system which enables the manufacturer to transport in the most efficient way.
The designer, Joshua M. Simandjuntak is a passionate furniture designer whose vision is to see Indonesian furniture design being appreciated by the world for its innovative designs. Joshua began his training as an artist at Central St. Martins School of Art and Design in London, before continuing his training as a furniture designer at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication in Kent. During his study he won an award from the worshipful company of furniture makers in london for one of his designs. His return to Indonesia has brought him to experience teaching at the faculty of art and design of the Institut Teknologi Bandung before continuing his training at the prominent Royal College of Art under the teaching of professor Ron Arad. He then formed a studio in London under the name of Fusion Design Studio which explored the use of multifunction objects. Later, he worked for a well-known furniture designer, Tom Dixon where he is still in collaboration until today.
